  • 1 cup 240ml unsweetened pure coconut water
  • Pinch of Himalayan pink salt About 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon
  • Juice of 1/4 to 1/2 fresh lemon or lime
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: A few fresh mint leaves muddled
  • Optional: A thin slice of fresh ginger
  • Optional: A splash of orange juice

Instructions

  • Gather your ingredients: Have your coconut water, Himalayan pink salt, and fresh lemon or lime ready.
  • Pour the coconut water: Pour 1 cup of unsweetened coconut water into a glass.
  • Add the salt: Sprinkle in a tiny pinch (about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon) of Himalayan pink salt.
  • Squeeze in citrus: Squeeze the juice of 1/4 to 1/2 a lemon or lime directly into the glass.
  • Stir well: Stir thoroughly with a spoon until the salt is fully dissolved.
  • Taste and adjust: Take a sip and adjust to your perfect balance.
  • Serve: Enjoy immediately, or chill it in the fridge for an even more refreshing experience.

Notes

  • For best results, use unsweetened, pure coconut water and fresh citrus.
  • Adjust the amount of pink salt to taste, starting with a small pinch to avoid an overtly salty flavor.
  • The drink is most refreshing when served cold.
  • This drink is a great post-workout revival, hot day hydration, or travel companion.
  • You can also mix coconut water with plain water if the pure coconut water is too sweet.
  • While best made fresh, a larger batch can be stored in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
